Community Council of Devon

Community Council of Devon
The Community Council of Devon (CCD) is the Rural Community Council for Devon. It is an independent charitable company founded in 1961, and part of a national network of Rural Community Councils. The Community Council for Devon 'helps communities help themselves' by advising communities and supporting projects throughout rural Devon.

Nexus were awarded a contract to deliver a new computer network for the Community Council of Devon.  Following a highly successful project, Nexus have continued to work closely with the organisation to supply ongoing technical services and support.

  • Advised on and deployed a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 file and print network.
  • Implemented Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 for email and calendar services.
  • Configured Microsoft ISA Server 2004 for firewall security and Internet caching.
  • Configured secure Internet VPN access for remote/home working.
  • Regular IT Strategy review meetings.
  • Pre-planned technical services for wide ranging IT projects and ongoing support.
