Kay Elliott have worked on projects ranging from Commercial, Education and Residential. The practice also specialises in the in the design of zoo and aquaria and is one of the largest Architectural Practices in the World in this marketplace.
The practice run a computer network for approximately 30 users, based upon the Microsoft Small Business Server solution, supported by Nexus Open Systems. When Kay Elliott architects found themselves without an IT Manager for a period of 3 months, Nexus were able to step in, increase their levels of assistance and provide a complete, managed ICT support service.
A Nexus Account Engineer attended site twice per week to attend to all routine ICT administration and maintenance, and to assist with all user enquiries and support issues. This included installation and configuration of new equipment or software services, routine server and network administration and application support.
Kay Elliott have now recruited a new IT Manager but continue to use Nexus support services as further backup. This will include Nexus telephone support and pre-planned technical support for onsite work. The full facilities management contract can be switched back on whenever required, for example to cover holidays and any other absences.
