The company is proud to retain mutual status, which means that it is owned by Members and exists to provide them an excellent service, rather than raising profits for shareholders.
In order to support its business activities, Cornish Mutual have a number of ICT based business systems. The company recognised that the network infrastructure running these systems needed to be upgraded and improved to help gain maximum business efficiencies. After a thorough assessment of local ICT partners, Cornish Mutual selected Nexus to work with them and deliver the project.
Nexus provided an ICT strategy that included the planning and deployment of:
- A Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2 domain infrastructure with an extensive software deployment, scripting and group policy implementation.
- A Microsoft Exchange 2007 Standard messaging infrastructure utilising Anywhere, Activesync and Web Access services to facilitate remote and mobile working.
- Microsoft ISA 2006 Server.
- Data replication between sites using Windows Server 2003 R2 DFSR technologies.
- Introduction of a structured DHCP assigned IP addressing scheme and centralised DNS and WINS services throughout the network.
Derek Endean, Administration Supervisor at Cornish Mutual comments "We all felt at Cornish Mutual that the deployment of our new ICT system was seamless and well handled by Nexus. The support received from members of the project team has been first class." |
