The Nexus Open Systems technical team has helped a number of well-known names including Mantracourt Electronics, Condy Mathias, Simpkins Edwards and Gregg Latchams LLP to refresh and upgrade their ICT infrastructure.
Server and desktop virtualisation is now firmly established as one of the most important technologies to have emerged over the last few years. Nexus is a leading provider of virtualisation products, services and official training courses for both VMware and Microsoft (Hyper-V). Virtualised computing infrastructures have recently been deployed for clients including Exeter Friendly Society, Viridor Waste Management, Torridge District Council, Tozers Solicitors and Mantracourt Electronics.
Another technology solution with a proven ROI (return on investment) is converged communications. Nexus has completed a number of new installations where clients have simplified and integrated all forms of communications, reduced call costs and streamlined administration.
Nexus recently designed and implemented a truly converged voice and data network across multiple sites for Trinity Protection Systems. The business now benefits from enhanced communication features and has eliminated inter-office call costs.
Swallowfield Plc has also benefitted from the installation and deployment of a new Avaya IP Office telephone system. Nexus provided the initial consultancy for this large multi-site deployment and won the contract to supply, deploy and configure the system to reduce call costs where possible.
The Nexus Technical Team specialises in providing business solutions for organisations of all sizes. Cornish Mutual recognised that parts of their large computer network infrastructure needed to be upgraded and improved to help gain maximum business efficiencies. After a thorough assessment of local ICT partners, Cornish Mutual selected Nexus to work with them and deliver the project.
Silvalea Ltd, a local successful manufacturing company, needed to provide a more stable foundation for their growing ICT systems. The contract was awarded to Nexus to design, supply and install new computer network infrastructure using Microsoft Windows Small Business Server.

MiCore Portal Engine continues to lead the way in delivering customer Intranets, Extranets and Portals. The Eden Project has used MiCore for several years for its company-wide Intranet and recently commissioned Nexus to develop a web enabled calendar-based resource planning application. This clever new feature interfaces with MiCore and will enable staff to view the "shape of the year", co-ordinating resources against events, campaigns and various Eden Project activities.
Leading West Country Accountants, Thomas Westcott, recently implemented MiCore to provide a company-wide Intranet across their 15 offices. Their employees immediately benefited from the ability to work collaboratively, with colleagues in different locations sharing knowledge, experience and results.
MiCRM Marketing Software has seen a surge in sales over recent months as organisations focus on the importance of retaining business through ongoing and improved marketing campaigns and customer care.
The Community Council for Devon (CCD) recently selected MiCRM to help manage and track customer communication. In addition, Nexus has developed a new timesheet module, enabling CCD to link and record time and activities against organisations and projects.
