NEXPO 2002: Post Event Report

More than 100 IT Managers and decision makers representing over 150,000 staff converged on Woodbury Park Hotel, Golf & Country Club on the 11th April for NEXPO 2002, the South West's 1st Enterprise Computing Exhibition.

The event organised by Nexus Open Systems of Exeter and sponsored by Compaq Computers and Nortel Networks bought together some of the World's leading Computer, Network and Software Manufacturers to deliver a unique Information Technology Showcase.

On display was a broad selection of business computing solutions from Computer Network Infrastructure, Management and Security to Nexus Open Systems installation, maintenance and support services.

Nexus Open Systems Commercial Director Darren Scully said "We are very happy that so many local businesses and organisations supported us by attending. From the feedback and leads we received it is apparent that this type of technology showcase provides a valuable source of information, helping our customers define and discuss their IT strategies direct with the vendor. Each of our Partners demonstrated key products from their portfolio's creating a rare opportunity to see new technologies without having to travel to much larger national IT events. The vendors that attended have seen that it is viable to hold this type of focused exhibition in the South West and I'm sure will attend any future events that we organise."
