Broadband 4 Sowton Campaign
Nexus is proud to announce that it is championing the spread of Broadband connections throughout Exeter by becoming a “hero” for the Broadband 4 Britain campaign.
The initiative is aimed at encouraging businesses and individuals to pledge to take an ADSL connection for the Sowton area exchange in Exeter. Once the trigger level has been achieved, and companies have signed up to the service, it is commercially viable for BT to enable the exchange for ADSL.
Broadband is a term that describes an “always-on” connection to the Internet which is typically ten times faster than a dial up modem.
For small and medium sized enterprises, homeworkers and telecommuters, the most significant benefit of Broadband will be cost savings. Case studies have shown that for users who are reliant on ISDN access there is an 80% saving on Internet costs by swapping to a Broadband service, which is also five times as fast.
