Meet the New Team Members

Nexus has seen rapid growth throughout 2007 with fifteen new employees joining the team! New roles have been created to enable us to expand our engineering, software development and administration teams, ensuring that our high standards of quality and customer care are maintained. We would like to introduce you to five new members of the Nexus team:

Mike Williams - Systems Engineer

Nexus is very pleased to welcome Mike to the Technical Support Team. Mike has a strong background working with Microsoft Windows Server as well as an in-depth knowledge of networking technologies. He enjoys problem solving and likes a challenge! Mike loves working on complex ICT projects and the Nexus Open Systems Technical Team looks forward to Mike demonstrating his abilities.

Jamie Nicol - Systems Engineer

Jamie has recently joined the Nexus Open Systems Technical Team and is focused on supporting networking technologies and Microsoft Windows Server administration. Jamie has a First Class Honours in Computer Systems & Networks from the University of Plymouth; he has also gained over 3 years commercial work experience, having previously worked at GlaxoSmithKline and a local ICT Reseller.

Daniel Grimes - Junior IT Technician

Dan has joined Nexus as a Junior IT Technician. He is a young, keen IT enthusiast and his goal is to forge a successful career in the ICT sector. Dan has already gained a number of ICT qualifications (Intermediate GNVQ in IT and a NVQ 2 in business and administration) and Nexus will assist him to continue his training. Dan has also gained valuable business experience having spent the last year working for a local Legal practice.

Dean Smith - QA Software Assessor

Dean has filled a key role at Nexus managing the Quality Assurance and Testing of our in-house software products and bespoke software applications. Dean first started working in computing when he was 17 and since then has had several IT related jobs in both sales and retail. His understanding of software usability will provide the Nexus Software Development team an invaluable resource.

Philip Norgate - Purchasing & Logistics

Philip joined the Nexus Administration team in November to fulfil a purchasing and logistics role. For the last ten years, Philip has worked for a national catering company managing all aspects of the business, specialising in administration, stock control and credit control. His previous job was fast paced and pressurised due to the seasonal nature of the business. This experience will enable Philip to make an immediate contribution to our high levels of service and customer care.
