Trinity Protection Systems offer a complete protection service through the provision of quality life safety and information systems. The company offers system design, provision and support services for a wide range of solutions, from fire detection and alarm, to CCTV and security systems.
Trinity operates from a head office on the outskirts of Exeter, with further office locations across the South, South East, Midlands and London.
As a fast-growing company, Trinity needed a flexible and scalable solution for communications across their office locations. Nexus helped Trinity formulate a strategy to design a truly converged voice and data network across the various sites. Initially two sites were connected as a pilot system. The pilot has proven that significant reductions can be achieved in terms of system administration and costs, paving the way for a company-wide deployment.
The solution is based upon a resilient network backbone, which utilises Nortel 5520-48T 48 port switches, configured to provide a full voice and data environment. The Avaya IP Office 500 phone system was selected to fulfil all of the required phone system functionality. IP Office is a modular IP telephone system offering a highly scalable solution for telephony, messaging, networking, conferencing, customer management and unified communications.
Nexus staff provided consultancy on the overall strategy as well as the deployment, configuration and ongoing support of the new network and phone system. The next stage of the project will be a roll-out of the system across all sites with the ultimate goal of achieving small community networking with free inter-site calls.

Paul Solari, IT Manager at Trinity, comments: "Trinity Protections Systems has worked with Nexus for a number of years on a variety of ICT projects. The recent phone system deployment was another great example of their skill, experience and qualitative approach which are core factors of our own Trinity ethos. I would not hesitate to recommend Nexus."
