Goodridge operates from its head office in Exeter and from regional offices around the world. When Goodridge needed to upgrade its Wide Area Network (WAN) to secure a resilient Virtual Private Network (VPN) linking each of its sites, they looked for the assistance of an ICT partner with the expertise and technical backing to deliver such a complex and business-critical project. Following consultation, Goodridge chose Nexus.
Graham Gray, Nexus Senior Systems Engineer, provided consultancy to design a secure and resilient WAN infrastructure to link each of the Goodridge sites around the globe. The next stage was to design an implementation plan which would ensure that the new infrastructure could be rolled out with a minimum of disruption to the business. As part of the implementation plan, Nexus created a test environment which enabled all of the network hardware to be pre-configured and fully tested before shipping to various sites around the world.
The project was a great success and Goodridge now has a new, highly secure VPN based Wide Area Network. The solution uses a fully meshed topology, which combined with the Routing Information Protocol (RIP), provides high levels of resilience against the failure of network hardware and internet connectivity.

Jonathan Splatt, Goodridge IT Operations Manager, comments,
"It was very beneficial for us to work with a local IT company who had the technical skills that this project demanded. This was a high profile project, led and managed by Goodridge's Head Office based IT team and we needed a good result. I was confident that Nexus would deliver the project management and technical skills that we needed and I was very satisfied with the result."
