Overview

Trinity Protection Systems needed a flexible and scalable telephony solution for communication across their office locations.

Solution

Trinity Protection Systems offer a complete protection service through the provision of quality life safety and information systems. Trinity operates from a head office on the outskirts of Exeter, with further office locations across the South, South East, Midlands and London.

Nexus helped the Trinity IT Team to formulate a strategy to design a truly converged voice and data network across their various offices. Initially two sites were connected as a pilot scheme. The pilot proved that significant reductions could be achieved in terms of system administration and costs, paving the way for a company-wide deployment.

The telephony solution is based on an Avaya IP Office 500 and a resilient network backbone. The project included:

  • Supply and install Nortel 5520-48T 48 port switches to provide a full voice and data environment with quality of service (QoS)
  • Install and configure Avaya IP Office 500 phone system to fulfil all of the required phone system functionality
  • Nexus engineers provided consultancy on the overall strategy as well as the deployment, configuration and ongoing support of the new network and phone system.
