Based in Chard, Somerset, Colin Mear Engineering Ltd (CME) provides manufacturing solutions to the Tobacco Industry.
CME recently planned a complete upgrade of their ICT infrastructure. The company recognised that a streamlined, efficient ICT environment based around the latest Microsoft server and desktop technology would bring increased business benefits.
Nexus successfully delivered a migration project for CME that included:
- Deployment of Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2
- Installation and configuration of Microsoft ISA Server 2006
- Upgrade Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 to 2007
- Advised CME on server infrastructure and supplied HP DL380 servers
- Configured and tested backup hardware
- Ongoing support services through Nexus Telephone Helpdesk and Retained Technical Services (RTS)
